May Day at

Woodmancote Free Church

As part of the church's May Day stand the "Saltmine" team came and performed a play all about David and Goliath but with a bit of a twist.
Goliath was a tall Scottish person (nearest they could get to a Philistine).
David was a lady dressed up wearing a really colourful shirt.
Saul was a king who couldn't do anything himself, who was in despair, a crybaby.

So David fights Goliath with his 5 stones and Goliath goes off in a strop. I think that the saltmine team did a great job and we should look out for them next year.

This was reported by Thomas Rawlinson.
